I am Maricel (Ma-rree-sell) Goris. As a writer, I bring my lived experiences to light dancing between my two languages with words as colorful as my heritage of origin that challenge the normative approach to writing emotionally complex and beautiful journeys.  

Integrity, social justice, and joy are the core values that fuel my passion for education, as an effective driver toward individual liberation.

An Education Change Agent with over 15 years of school and district leadership experience, I am determined to transform the educational outcomes for racially and linguistically diverse students in marginalized communities.

As a systems thinker and strategic leader, I effectively execute consensus-building approaches that uphold all voices towards effective decision-making and allow for creative solutions that align stakeholders. Through an equity-driven lens, I create and deliver school and district leadership training on culturally competency and anti-racist practices in education.
